Meetings 2020 to 2021

President:   Professor Mary Frances McMullin MD, FRCP, FRCPath, PGCHET

Covid Pandemic

The last session was cut short by the Covid pandemic and Council agreed that it would not be fair for Dr Seamus McAleer to have an uncertain and almost certainly very abbreviated year as president. Professor Mary Frances McMullin is to continue in the role until October 2021 by which time it should be clearer as to what will be possible. Further information will be shown here when it is available.

Online Lectures

Two lectures were held online in April. The first was the postponed 2019–2020 Sir Thomas and Lady Edith Dixon Lecture which was held on 15th April 2021 and the second was a look at Ancient Egypt. These firsts for the Society were very successful, each being viewed by upwards of 35 to 40 people, and will, we hope, mark a new era and one which will be fully supported by the membership.
